Robin is a intelligence platform that will integrate with officers' bodycams to alert them of potentially dangerous situations. Our end-to-end service partners with Clearview AI and utilizes their APIs to provide swift and scalable facial recognition in realtime. Our servers use computer vision to detect and frame all faces and vectorize them using Clearview. When an officer encounters an individual with a dangerous criminal record, the portable camera receives a haptic notification to raise the officers' awareness and help them to proceed with caution. The objective is to prevent unnecessary escalation and help the officer remain alert.
Furthermore, our software also help officers detect false IDs. By decoding the id verification from the back of the card and cross referencing it against our mock DMV database, we can alert officers in realtime when they are shown a fake ID.
For purposes of our demos, we utilize an iphone as an equivalent to a bodycam. The connection between our server (run locally on a laptop) and the phone is done with webrtc, an industry standard for live feed integrations in body cams.
