
Caddy is CAD designed for ITAR and hardware teams that surfaces how design changes versus export-control (ITAR/EAR) rules quoted word for word.
Export controls can change depending on hardware design, so one part swap can move a product from freely exportable to license-required: controlling who can see the product, where it can be exported, and fundamentally change a product's trajectory. Today the engineer who made the swap finds out after the design is frozen, from counsel or at the shipping dock, when the only fix is a redesign.
Using Caddy, an engineer can swap a battery or type a wing span, and Caddy shows which USML paragraph or ECCN the design now meets, the number that crossed the line, and what export controls implications they mean. Caddy then sources each part with a landed-cost estimate, supply-chain and import compliance consideration walkthrough, and writes every accepted change to a log that re-derives when the rules change.
